Your Questions Answered

  • CAN WE MEET BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY?

Yes, of course! I can chat via Zoom or if you are local to Athlone we can meet to have a chat about your wedding photography in a little more detail. It also gives you a chance to ask me any questions, as well as finalising all the details to make your photographs perfect.

  • WHAT IS A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT AND WHAT HAPPENS?

This is a fun and relaxed session where you can get used to being in front of the camera and my approach, I can do a pre-wedding shoot anywhere you like - I normally recommend a place that means something to you - otherwise the park, woodland or a beach usually work best for a nice intimate stroll. I prefer shooting outdoors in natural light but I am all ears to any suggestions, just anywhere where you're relaxed and can be you!

  • DO YOU TAKE FORMAL GROUP PHOTOGRAPHS?

As a reportage wedding photographer I am there to capture all the natural moments of your wedding day, however I understand that some couples may want a formal group / family photographs also. I think they are important for future memories.

  • ARE YOU PREPARED TO TRAVEL NATIONWIDE/WORLDWIDE FOR A WEDDING?

Absolutely! I love to travel! All travel is included. For Weddings outside of Ireland - this is subject to change.

  • IF IT’S RAINING ON OUR WEDDING DAY CAN WE STILL GET PICTURES OUTSIDE/WHAT HAPPENS?

Of course you can! I am not afraid of a bit of water or mud - that’s what umbrellas and wellies are for! For those who are afraid of the Irish weather, I also prepare for this and normally have a plan B for indoor locations for photographs.

  • HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

You will receive a minimum of 650 wedding photographs fully edited images downloadable from your private gallery.

  • How do you edit the photographs?

I take great care to edit each photo with sensitivity keeping them looking as natural as possible whilst enhancing and applying my developed style. All wedding photographs are edited using professional software to achieve the highest quality.

  • Do you have insurance

Yes, I am insured with O’Loughlin Insurance Ireland

  • WHAT CAN WE DO WITH THE PHOTOS?

Almost anything! The wedding photographs I provide will be full resolution and without any ugly watermarks. They are your photos, for you to share and print as much as you like. This said, I don't allow commercial use (in publications) without our prior consent in writing - further details regarding this can be found upon enquiry.

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY PHOTOGRAPHS?

Post processing of your photographs will take around 8-12 weeks - this is subject to change in intensely busy periods but I can give a closer estimation nearer the time.

  • WHAT IF YOU ARE ILL ON THE DAY OR YOUR EQUIPMENT BREAKS?

Should the unlikely scenario of either of these, I have many other professional wedding photographers as contacts to replace me. I always carry a backup camera and equipment and am well insured against any issues that although unlikely, may arise.

  • How do we book

To secure your wedding date, I require a booking fee and a signed contract. This is done through my secure wedding client area. I will send you upon request to book my services. Dates are booked on a first come, first serve basis.
