Bridal Preparations

The moments spent preparing are the cornerstone of your wedding day, yielding some of the most naturally beautiful images. Capturing these moments is a personal favorite and highly recommended. During this time, emotions run high — from nervous anticipation to tears of joy as family members witness you in the wedding dress for the first time.

My approach is unobtrusive, ensuring minimal disruption to the flow of your day. Operating like a documentary, I aim to capture candid images while remaining inconspicuous. The atmosphere is pure, yet I infuse a touch of humor to elicit genuine smiles.

I typically arrive an hour and a half before the ceremony, allowing flexibility to accommodate your schedule. To streamline the process, having a Bridesmaid organize the details is appreciated. Ensure the dress is tag-free, and a tidy room is key—these details significantly impact the quality of the photos.

Timely Arrival & Dress Shots: I will arrive at your location 1.5 hours before the ceremony commences. Our initial focus will be on capturing timeless images of your gown and accessories, including rings, invitations, and floral arrangements.

Morning Preparations: The subsequent phase involves documenting the morning rituals, including makeup and hairstyling. Once the final touches are complete, we can commemorate the occasion by capturing celebratory moments, either indoors or outdoors, with a bottle of champagne or prosecco.

Getting Dressed: A strategic approach involves having the bridal party dress first, positioning them to assist you seamlessly. I recommend putting on your Wedding Dress approximately 45 minutes before the ceremony, allowing ample time for composure and adjustment. During this period, I adopt an unobtrusive stance to capture intimate moments, such as the maid of honour, bridesmaid or family member assisting in the final preparations such zipping or buttoning up your dress.

Posed Shots: Following your dressing sequence, a brief yet deliberate 3-5 minutes will be dedicated to posed shots. This encompasses capturing the intricate details of your dress, makeup nuances during final touches, and other curated poses.

First Look: Consideration is given to orchestrating a "first look" with a parent or bridesmaids. Rest assured, my approach is discreet, ensuring the organic unfolding of emotions during this significant moment.

Group Photography: To conclude, a swift 5-minute session will be allocated for group photographs with your bridesmaids, family members, and siblings.
